Stucco, used since ancient times, is a building material widely employed throughout the modern world. Known variously as wattle and daub, "cob" or chalk mud, pise de terre, half-timbering, and adobe, stucco is essentially a mixture of mud, clay, lime, chalk, cement, gravel or straw.
